1. Who we are

This website is run by A Clean Sweep, a sole trader owned by Rachel Johnstone, based in Hemel Hempstead. We are the controller of the personal information described in this notice, which means we decide how and why it is used.

2. What we collect

When you use the enquiry form on this website we collect the details you type in:

• Your name
• Phone number
• Email address
• Postcode
• The service you are interested in
• Number of bedrooms and bathrooms (home cleaning services)
• A description of the premises (offices and other services)
• How often you would like the clean
• Your preferred days
• Anything else you choose to tell us in the message box

If you call, email or message us (for example on WhatsApp) we will also have the details you share with us in that conversation, such as your phone number.

You do not have to complete the form: you are always welcome to call or message us instead.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange a home visit, and give you a quote. If you go on to become a customer, we use them to provide the cleaning service.

Our lawful basis is that this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Where that does not strictly apply, we rely on our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us about our services (Article 6(1)(f)).

We do not use your details for automated decision-making.

4. Who receives your details

Form enquiries are sent by email to A Clean Sweep. To do this we useWeb3Forms, a third-party form service that receives what you submit and passes it on to us by email. Your email provider also handles the message once it reaches us.

We do not sell your details or use them for marketing by third parties. We will share them with others only if the law requires it.

5. Cookies and analytics

We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies on this website. If that changes, we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent first.

6. Website hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address when you visit the site, in order to deliver the pages and keep the service secure.

7. How long we keep your details

• If you do not become a customer, we delete your enquiry within 12 months.
• If you do become a customer, we keep your details for 6 years after your last clean, for tax and legal reasons.

We will not keep your details for longer than is needed for the reasons in this notice.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
• ask us to delete your information, in some circumstances;
• ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it, in some circumstances.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) atico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
